- Merry Easter to all, and to all a good night! -

Happy Easter!!!

Alleluia, alleluia, He is RISEN!!!

...But for real, where are all the larger-than-life/stuffed animal Jesus-es?  We couldn't find any traipsing around town, so we settled for a damn bunny.  [Yes, I already know my kid will grow up hating me for this.  IF she makes it alive to adulthood after snuggling in that fur costume which was probably rife with disease.]

Back to the serious tone.

One of our favorite Catholic Masses of the liturgical year is the Saturday night Easter Vigil. It is so refreshing and such a blessing to witness new Catholics entering the Church and going forth into the world marked with their new signs of faith.  I love it sooo much.  The service is usually 2+ hours, so we were a tiny bit hesitant to attend this year with our 3-week old offspring. [Not because I was worried about germs or people in her face, but because I was worried she would cry or fart or erupt in some fashion that would cause a distraction for the people who were praying and focusing on the Mass.] BUT we took her, and she slept in her carseat for allllmost 2 whole hours and didn't make a single grunt or peep until it was time to eat!  Phew.  One long Mass in the books!

Since we went to Saturday Vigil, we slept in a littttle longer on Easter Sunday morning!  Not surprisingly, Momma had to snap a quick photo before leaving the house...  [Harper hates photo sessions but really does love her pink Longaberger basket from Great Aunt Stephanie!]  :-*
We spent the morning/afternoon at my grandma's and the afternoon/evening at Brian's uncle's!  Here's to hoping you had a blessed day with your families as well!!! :)
Grandma Ann and her two youngest granddaughters!
Oh, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my old man/Harper's proud proud Grandpa!!! We love you!
Worn out after a long day of being passed around and snuggled + having sweet [or not-so-sweet?!] dreams of that candy-delivering, diseased bunny!

Happy Easter, all!!!

We are an Easter people, and Alleluia! is our song!
