- HELLO -

...FROM THE OTHER SIDE!!!

It's been a pretty boiling hot minute since I've shown face here, and there's so much to catch up on! Blogger's stats show I've made a grand total of *6* posts in 2024 [which is only slightly lagging from my 50 in 2023...64 in 2022...and drumroll...178 all the way back in 2013!]. Truth be told, blogging used to be my "release" from the hustle and bustle life; it was a quiet place where I could just retreat to alone during the kids' nap times and spill thoughts and document memories to look back on and treasure for YEARS to come! And believe me: I LOVE looking back on old posts and pics!

As of late, life as a wife ...and mom of 3 [kids that no longer nap] ...and dog mom of 1 ...and small business owner [!!] has taken a little toll on my "free time" that used to be spent blogging. But! I'm here today, ready to [re]start somewhere...

So, ahem! Rewinding to recap some amazing 2024 life events...................

Lesssgo!

- End of the Year: S -

From the very very first day to the very very last, Pre-K 4's was an absolute blast!!!

I failed to post here and there on the blog throughout the second semester; but, looking back on assessments and worksheets and artwork and seeing so much growth from month to month is my absolute favorite thing in the world, so I'm sharing them all now for the archives! #letnothinggoundocumented ;) :)

In mid-march, we received a letter stating Scarlett was officially accepted into St. Boniface grade school for the school year of 2023-2024!  A kindergarten kick-off event followed several weeks later.

One of the highlights of the spring was scooter-ing down Main St. with some preschool friends to see all the STB teacher banners!  The girls were so excited when they found Mrs. Burns!

Days spent as a Little Jay were days well spent! <3

Donuts with Dads was a hit in April!

Finally, it was time for the last day of school! The class celebrated with a last-day luau and did lots of water and other outside activities throughout the day!
Cheers to this cute cuteeee class!!!
Scarlett came home from school that day with so many stories and such a full heart! We loved going through her book bag full of all of the end-of-the-year papers and artwork ...and even a killer "report card!"

"Bye Bye PRESCHOOL, Hello SUMMER!!!" ^^ Can’t believe this confident, smart, compassionate little girl will be turning the tassel in about 24 hours!

Hop on over to the graduation post here!

- October Odds & Ends -

Aside from all the Halloween-ing that went down last month, there were still plenty of free days on the calendar to have some fall fun!  The weather is chilling off, autumn vibes are in the air, and I'm HERE FOR IT!  Would it even be approps to kick off October without a pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks and a trip to the pet store to discuss which type of 2-4 legged creature would make the best family pet?!? I think NOT!

Just days after Scarlett nonstop whine/begged Brian to call the number on the business card of this woman standing outside Petsmart selling pup pups ^^,  our girl contracted some sort of viral thing that had her feverish and fatigued for several days.  But!  Nothing a day off school, a few naps, and a loving little sister couldn't fix!

She was back on the mend in no time...

...and back to school for fire safety week, where her class got a visit from the local firemen and also got to "tour" the inside of some big red firetrucks!

October also brought her preschool class's field trip to Liberty Apple Orchard! It was one of the first SUPER chilly mornings of the year, but we busted open the winter gear tote and bundled up from head to toe before heading out to pick apples!

Meanwhile, on the homefront, Juliette continued her life motto of "while the cats are away, the mouse must play" and enjoyed many days of destroying the older girls' Barbie Dream House while they were at school. She also improved her climbing tricks; can't ever turn a head on this one! :-O

The rest of the month was filled with random goodness LIKEEEEE:

-- knocking out homework on a beautiful evening outside...

-- popcorn and movie night inside with ALL THE BABIES...

-- Harper having her artwork chosen by the art teacher to be featured at the local Art Museum...

-- roasting marshmallows on the firepit and making s'mores at Grammy and Papa's...

-- Harper and Scarlett being asked to be flower girls at their babysitter's wedding next summer...

-- Juliette learning how to fold laundry....................

-- Papa finishing his Ironman race...

-- and finally, the culmination of Harper and Scarlett's first soccer seasons through the YMCA!  We LOVED watching them play!

October, WE LOVED YOU and all the fun days and beautiful weather and sweet memories you brought for our fam!

Onward to November! ;) :)
