- End of the Year: J -

And lastly [but absolutely not least-ly]: Juli!!!  No "summer break" is on the horizon for the baby sister this summer, as she'll continue going to her normal Monday in-home babysitter throughout the summer months! But! She certainly didn't complain about partaking in everyone else's end of the year festivities and wasn't shy about sampling the celebration cookies at Scarlett's preschool graduation or ordering herself a Bobby's chocolate milkshake on the big school's last day of school!

And the "kick-off to summer" neighborhood party complete with ice cream bars and cones of every shape and size? DON'T MIND IF SHE DOES.

Every day is a great day when you're the baby of the fam! We love this Future Bluejay more than words can say and can't wait [some day far away!] to watch her hit all the big days and milestones her sisters are living right now!

- End of the Year: H -

A few days after Scarlett's last day of preschool came Harper's last day at "the big school!"  Woot woot, see ya LATA', 2nd grade!!!

A little bit of work I've saved from February through May:
^^ And I will love this worksheet forever and ever, amen.
So much progress made this year with counting money and telling time! I always tell Harper she is learning things in 2nd grade that I learned in 4th or 5th! :O
^^ Anyone else remember when Pluto was a planet, or just me?!? :P

^^ After being Mom-shamed by my oldest daughter that I'm one of the only moms who never signs up to monitor library every Friday, I took a few shifts this semester and actually really loved it!

Another 2nd grade milestone for Harper was doing readings at Chapel Mass on Tuesdays. On this particular day she had the first reading [4/25/23] on the 8th anniversary of her baptism [4/25/15] in the same church! I remember watching this all unfold and being extra grateful in that moment that God entrusted us to love his beautiful daughter!

The last month of school began the ABC countdown to summer, and all the kiddos got to bring a stuffed animal for A day!

The last week of school was the 2nd grade field trip to Marcoot Jersey Creamery! Harper raved about it for days!

And then! FINALLY! The last day of school was here, and we celebrated great friends and a great school year with a street treat at Bobby's after early dismissal!

Peace out, 2nd grade! Thanks for all the memories!

And now?! It's time for SUMMER BREAK!!! :D

- Preschoolers take the Zoo -

The morning after graduation, we invited the whole preschool class to join us at the zoo to kick off summer break! Several kiddos were able to come, and we had a great time checking out the butterfly house, seeing lots of animals close up, and riding the train all around the zoo! Choo CHOOOO, we're here to celebrate YOU!

Peace out, preschool!

- Scarlett's Pre-K Graudation -

Very veryyyy opposite from Harper's preschool graduation on our front porch in May 2020 during the "laxed lock-down phase" of COVID, Scarlett and her preschool classmates got to experience the full shebang!  Luckily for the mommas, there was graduation practice/dress rehearsal that morning; hearing a run through of all of the songs allowed us to get [almost] all of our tears out during practice so as not to embarrass ourselves with the dreaded ugly cry during the evening program! [Thanks, Mr. Hentz, for bringing the box of tissues to our rescue!]

At 6:00pm sharp, the spring program and graduation ceremony began! The 4-year-old preschool class sang a few songs [link here!] before pausing to change into their caps and gowns...

...and then marched into [a very emotional] Pomp and Circumstance to present themselves as the St. Boniface Preschool Class of 2023!  *heart-eye emojis*

When Scarlett was awarded her diploma, her teacher asked her what she wanted to be when she grows up, to which she immediately replied, "A NURSE!" The crowd roared and cheered as her momma teared up only a tiny bit! ;) :)

Congratulations, Scarlett!!! We are proud of you!
Thank you SO MUCH to the best preschool teachers in the world!  Mrs. Burns and Ms. Emily: you made this year absolutely incredible. We were in awe of the ways that Scarlett grew and blossomed this year!

When we got home from the graduation ceremony, Scarlett sat us all down on the couch to show us her gifts from Mrs. Burns and Ms. Emily, which included this adorable memory book:

What a wonderful year it's been!  Just as one of their songs during the program said, they're "movin' UP! ...to kindergarrrrr-ten!"  It's hard to believe that it's already time for this amazing group of Little Jays to fly the nest!

Congratulations, class of 2023!!! YOU DID IT!

[Scarlett's video here!]

- End of the Year: S -

From the very very first day to the very very last, Pre-K 4's was an absolute blast!!!

I failed to post here and there on the blog throughout the second semester; but, looking back on assessments and worksheets and artwork and seeing so much growth from month to month is my absolute favorite thing in the world, so I'm sharing them all now for the archives! #letnothinggoundocumented ;) :)

In mid-march, we received a letter stating Scarlett was officially accepted into St. Boniface grade school for the school year of 2023-2024!  A kindergarten kick-off event followed several weeks later.

One of the highlights of the spring was scooter-ing down Main St. with some preschool friends to see all the STB teacher banners!  The girls were so excited when they found Mrs. Burns!

Days spent as a Little Jay were days well spent! <3

Donuts with Dads was a hit in April!

Finally, it was time for the last day of school! The class celebrated with a last-day luau and did lots of water and other outside activities throughout the day!
Cheers to this cute cuteeee class!!!
Scarlett came home from school that day with so many stories and such a full heart! We loved going through her book bag full of all of the end-of-the-year papers and artwork ...and even a killer "report card!"

"Bye Bye PRESCHOOL, Hello SUMMER!!!" ^^ Can’t believe this confident, smart, compassionate little girl will be turning the tassel in about 24 hours!

Hop on over to the graduation post here!
