Someone recently asked Harper what activities she does, and she replied, "I play soccer, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics..... Oh! And I play piano, because my mom says that's a life skill!"

After an AMAZING time at their inaugural Father/Daughter Dance last year, the girls were full of excitement for a repeat event and had the best time getting ready for another fun night out with their daddy!
To be 1000% honest, I am not sure which of these 3 was most proud to take their date[s] to the dance! Lucky girls and lucky dad!!!
After they left, Juli and I had a date with some other moms/sons/smaller kiddos who didn't make the cut for the dance... ;) :) ...and a GREAT TIME was had by all!
Before long, the crew was home with flowers and cards and sugar highs and photo booth printouts and most importantly, so many fond memories! I love these special times!
When you're the second sister, you don't get dibs on many "firsts" in the family... But thanks to the peak of COVID falling during Harper's kindergarten year, Scarlett gave us an exciting new weekend experience in bringing home the kindergarten pet, Rover Joe!
From making snow angels and hot chocolate and snuggling in to watch movies on Friday evening...
...to venturing out for Mass followed by lots of President's Day weekend shopping...
...to having a few body parts repaired at our neighbor's special Stuffy Mending Clinic...
...this lucky dog went back to school on Tuesday morning all tuckered out!

Wowwwwweee, we love Disney! Any opportunity to visit the Mouse and his friends at the most magical place on Earth is a good opportunity; but heading here to celebrate my in-laws' 50th anniversary [and also Scarlett's 6th birthday] are GREAT opportunities!
The kids had a paper chain countdown for weeks before the big day arrived...
...and when then day arrived, it was an early one! 5:30am flights who?! US! SIGN US UP!
First stop: Disney Springs! Happy 6th Birthday [a couple of days late], Scarlett!!!
We had a full family dinner to celebrate the birthday girl!
Happy 50th Anniversary, Papa Ron & Grammy Ann! The whole fam is here and ready for a week full of fun!!!
NOT TO BE CLICHE or anything, but Magic Kingdom was the mooooost magical day! Harper and Scarlett loved each ride [top pics: Tron, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountainn, and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train...juuuust to name a few!].

Scarlett barely slipped through the final height check for Tron. I was 2% nervous that she'd fly off the motorcycle into the Disney abyss and I'd never see her face again, but Brian and the ride attendants confirmed my crazy and strapped her in and OFF WE WENT. Best handful of minutes in my entire life?! Mebbe!
Character meet-and-greets were high on the girls' priority lists for this trip, and we met lots! <3
^^ Have I mentioned that when we do Disney, WE DO DISNEY?!? Opening and closing the park is our specialty! This is made possible by "down days" at the resort in between [which despite the heated pools, were a little too cold to bare skin on this trip...]
