- Forgotten things x a million... -
There is some kind of off-road motorcycle race going on in Brian's hometown today; not sure exactly what all the hype is about [exhaust and dirt clods and repetitive loud "braaaaps" aren't my cups of tea, but! ...to each their own...]. ...And not surprisingly, Brian was up at the crack of dawn heel-clicking around the house and throwing together a loaded diaper bag in anxious anticipation to take his little buddy to the race. I was hesitant at first. Would Harper have fun there? Would there be anything for her to do? Would the motorcycle exhaust be too fume-y? But THEN, I quickly and easily obliged to his plan after considering the pure bliss that FIVE HOWAS of alone time would be...
So I slathered up my little bear in sunscreen [why is it 88 degrees in October?]...
...packed the duo a lunch box...
...sweetly stood in the driveway to wave them off...
...threw in a load of laundry...
...grabbed my computer...
...and bolted for the car.
Hellooooo, Momma's day out!!!
Hello, coveted personal time!
Hello, Teaspoons Cafe! [I actually didn't discover this hidden treasure until today; and bee tee dubs, the turtle latte and chicken/bacon/avacado lunch wrap were nothing to complain about... ;)]
Anyway! The whole point of this post: I've been getting really annoyed lately when trying to muddle through the scads and scads of folders in my iPhoto. I got an external hard drive a while ago to transfer photos onto so I could wipe them off my computer, so that daunting task became today's project.
Goodbye, 2,675 photos...
And, of courseeee, here are afew million "forgotten things" from wayyyyy back in the spring/summer; memories that thought for a hot minute they may escape the blog... Muahaha.
In the words of Harper Bear:
-- I'm the cutest laundry helper there ever was!

And now I'm takin' back the mic to say: truest of true apologies that this post is ALL OVER THE PLACE with seasons and pictures and everything else.....
.....but so is my brain, so consider it fair game. #momlife
I'm a poet and I didn't know it.
[Or maybe I did.]
Harper and I say, "Bye now!"
- {Bucket List} - Pumpkin Patch -
We realized this morning that we're down to the last three squares of toilet paper in the .e.n.t.i.r.e. house [which I'm positive is the first time this has ever EVER happened in my 20-something-year-long life; have I ever posted about my obsession with over-over-OVER-stocking the closets with TP and tampons???]. This said situation ^^ very quickly de-escalated to a struggle: shall we a) sh*t at home and wipe @$$ with paper towels or b) wake up the baby to drive across the street to Wal-Mart to get the TP.....and possibly use their disease-ridden restroom while in the store?! ...
#firstworldproblems
The debate continued and then pretty soon Brian was like:
Jay to the kay, but seriously. WHERE BE ALL THE TP????? I'm positive the last time I checked the stash there were 48 rolls left...
In better news...
...we eventually got our sh*t together [no pun intended] and headed out for an awesome day at Rhodes Family Farm! The fun-filled, beautiful-weathered afternoon knocked out two bucket list birds with one stone: go to a pumpkin patch and go through a corn maze!
Feeding the goats in the petting zoo was the biggest hit of the day! We gots an animal lovaaa on our hands!

When we finally made it out to pick a pumpkin, Harper bee-lined to the biggest, most deformed one in the patch...
Life is so incredibly fun with a lively 18-month old!!! I love her and our family adventures so much! <3

- {Bucket List} - Football Game -
Hut, hut, hiiiiiiiiike.
Football ranks rightup down there with golf in my book, but! Cheers for Harper's first Friday-night football game and another check off the bucket list!
Football ranks right
We went to the high school game in town with Brian's parents and our little nephew, Murhpy. Harper and Murph had a blast running around playing [in the misting rain] and cheering on the Wildcats, too!
Annnnnd that's a winner!
