In 20-something grandeur years of life, my tastebuds never had the privilege of meeting an avocado. I'm not sure if that was my mom's fault for not introducing them to the family or my fault for being totally terrified of weird green mushy fruits... ??
But then: pregnancy.
And immediately [out of nowhere]: holy avocado cravings!
In second trimester and beyond, the babe has become a big fan of womb service and has grown quite accustomed to placing orders for all things avocado.
[Crazy how those pregnancy hormones work, no?!]
So in honor of the finicky fetus, meet my new favorite [tweaked to taste] guacamole recipe...

Guacamole
Prep/Total Time: 10 minutes
- 2 avocados, peeled/pitted/mashed
- 1 small tomato, diced
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1 lime, juiced
- some garlic [sometimes I use real garlic, sometimes garlic salt]
- some salt
- some pepper
- tortilla chips
Peel/pit/mash the avocados in a bowl. Add tomato, onion, lime juice. Sprinkle other ingredients until the taste tickles your fancy! Serve on tortilla chips. Voila!

The perfect midnight snack! Hope you enjoy as much as I do! :)
